How Our Adoptions Work

Our  Adoptable  Birds

Every parrot, no matter what species, has a different personality, and our goal is to match every parrot to their new human. Finding a match depends solely on the parrot's needs and what will make them happiest long term. We can almost be considered a "dating service" for parrots and humans, trying to find each one's soul mate.

Unlike most adoption programs for cats or dogs, adoption is not our primary focus, although it is a wonderful feeling when we can connect someone with their soul bird. We are a rescue who specializes in special needs parrots: the injured, abused, neglected, medically fragile, disabled, exceptionally loud and aggressive parrots. These are the parrots who are extremely difficult to find homes for, and also the ones that many rescues do not accept due to time, space and funding restraints. Just as an example, for these special needs birds, one out of 50 applications may be a proper fit.

We do occasionally receive birds that are highly adoptable, but they go quick! So sending in an application with notes about what you may be looking for will get your foot in the door early.
